About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Branch Fleet Supervisor/Controller will ensure that the fleet is maintained to a safe, legal and roadworthy standard for the branch team to maximise utilisation. The Branch Fleet/Supervisor will be responsible for reporting of and recording of damage and processing for relevant customer recharges. You will also ensure the preparation of vehicles is always consistent and to the same exacting standard.

You will ensure new vehicles into the branch are administered and prepared Ready to Rent.  You will work closely with both the Rental and Fleet teams ensuring any damaged vehicles and those requiring service or warranty are documented and processed for repairs and ensure that all De-fleet vehicles are administered and prepared ready for the necessary disposal.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a professional, self-motivated individual to work as Fleet Supervisor/Controller at our Bristol location. You will possess a professional, reliable, flexible, positive and enthusiastic manner. You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High levels of organisation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the business.
  • Confidence with IT, smartphone technology and using Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Previous experience from a vehicle rental, fleet management or body shop background is advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and validate daily Fleet Checks
  • Receive new vehicles into the branch location and process in a timely manner in order to be placed on fleet using the correct documentation, the accurate taking of photographs and processing of the spare keys as per current procedures.
  • Receive vehicles from AMT drivers and customers returning to branch from rental. Review paperwork to ensure complete and consistent and confirm any fresh damage.
  • Process fresh damage notifications to fleet department including taking images of damage to validate damage.
  • Process vehicles for end of life de-fleet including identifying and reporting any refurbishment required.
  • Liaise with Fleet Department and Branch Team to ensure all new vehicles have working tracker units fitted prior to rent and also removal of units at end of life de-fleet
  • Liaise with Fleet Department regarding arranging of vehicle repairs and follow up any branch actions as appropriate.
  • Always Prepare vehicles to a professional standard
  • Checking, auditing and ensuring the safety and security of valeting and storage area.
  • Maintain cleaning materials and supplies to sufficient standard to carry out duties, and order as and when additional supplies required.
  • Validate vehicles as being ready for rent after pre-rent preparation and sign off accordingly
  • Carry out detailed Quality Control check to confirm vehicle is in a safe, legal and roadworthy condition, including identifying any service or routine maintenance work required and notify fleet as required
  • Organise branch location indoor & outdoor parking areas to ensure sufficient space for safe storing of vehicles
