A better question would be, ‘why not lease a Bentley?’. If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing genuine luxury while driving around town, you need look no further than one of the most well-known prestigious car manufacturers in the world. Founded by Walter Owen Bentley in 1919, the luxury automaker’s founding vision of creating high-class cars that offer both performance and practicality is evident across the range - whether it’s the formidable Mulsanne or the classic Flying Spur.
Bentley’s best-selling model of recent years has been the Continental GT, which is known for its modern style and strong sports heritage. As well as making a wave on the road thanks to its eye-catching exterior, drivers can also enjoy one of the most comfortable and lavish interiors on the market, which includes specialist leather, materials that can be personalised, as well as innovative tech. It goes without saying that a Bentley is a showcase of British craftsmanship, from elegant bodywork to hand-built interiors and engines.
The futuristic technology available includes lane assist, which provides steering assistance if the car is detected to be drifting from its lane, by scanning the lane markers on either side of the vehicle. It’s available on the latest Continental GT, the Flying Spur and Bentayga models that are equipped with the Touring specification options package. This is complemented by the driving modes controlled via rotary dial, which optimises the chassis and drivetrain for luxurious cruising in comfort mode, then retunes the powertrain for a dynamic drive when sport mode is selected.
Just because Bentley is a prestige car manufacturer doesn’t mean it's shying away from making a foray into the all-electric market. The brand recently celebrated its 100th anniversary by unveiling an all-electric concept car badged the EXP 100, which is designed with leather-like eco-friendly textiles, sustainable woods and paint made from recycled rice husks. The power comes from an all-electric powertrain with a range of around 440 miles per charge, which can operate in either autonomous or manual modes. All in all, the future looks bright for Bentley.
