When your business is about providing the most considered service to a discerning client base, you need a supply chain that shares the same values. And it’s this requirement that led James Allenby to partner with AMT when he established Novo in 2015.
Novo is a provider of specialist insurance, incident management and hire solutions to private clients, insurers, brokers and repair shops. The firm provides a concierge-style service that recognises the bespoke needs of individuals and eschews the ‘one size fits all’ approach typically adopted by the insurance industry.
Novo clients typically own and drive premium and prestige vehicles, whether that’s luxury models such as Bentley and Range Rover, performance marques such as Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren, or technologically advanced cars including Tesla and BMW’s i8.
A key aspect of the Novo service is its ability to ensure clients in need of a replacement vehicle following loss or damage are equipped with a similar calibre vehicle, swiftly and effortlessly. This requires reliable access to a diverse fleet of premium and prestige vehicles at short notice and that in turn requires a partner with an intimate understanding of this challenge.
Novo’s 40-strong fleet – which currently includes Bentley Bentayga, Mercedes-AMG GT and the largest concentration of Teslas in the UK – is sourced, financed and disposed of by AMT with the majority of those vehicles leased.
AMT also supplements this fleet as required with vehicles on a daily rental basis.
James already had a professional relationship with AMT managing director Neil McGawley through his previous employer. When he left to establish Novo, a call to Neil was top of his to do list.
“I established Novo as a new concept which for everyone involved, not least myself, required an initial leap of faith. From the start it was vital I partnered with people who not only trusted me and my vision but who intimately understood the product I was creating. Neil did just that, recognising not just the commercial opportunity for AMT but that it might require some patience in the early days. I think that says all you need to know about him and the values by which he leads AMT.”
